I designed this quilt for the 2012 Melbourne Cup Race Day Mystery Workshop. My friend Marie and I attended the 2012 Australian Machine Quilting Festival and we were constantly inspired by the melon shapes used in the various workshops that we attended. Now Marie will call them by another name but for me they are melons!! SoĀ MELON PIE it is.

- 1 x Jelly Roll for appliquƩ and binding
- 3.35m background fabric and outer border
- 85cm lattice fabric
- Fusible webbing of your choice
- 380cm backing fabric x 110cm wide fabric
- 185cm x 240cm wide wadding of your choice

- Neutral thread for piecing
- 1 x sheet template plastic
- Coordinating or variegated thread for appliquƩ
